Imported to iTunes with different language
2.5 seems to have introduced a language issue.
I am in France for a while now, and download The Simpsons. This is converted correctly, but the auto media lookup calls it Les Simpsons.
It's worse for CSI and NCIS, they end up as Les experts or something (sorry I forgot to write it down)
How do I convince VideoDrive to keep it English?
Oh, and the TV series Nikita imports as a Movie, even though the torrent clearly has a season/episode embedded in the file name.
I have a great system now which downloads the torrents automatically, drops them in the hot folder and then VideoDrive converts and imports to iTunes. I'd just like a bit more control over the final title of the tv show.
Thanks for a great product!
Cheers,
Richard

Re: Imported to iTunes with different language
I created a preset called CSI and converted CSI.S12E07.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi using option 6.
This was the result "09:47:32 File CSI.S12E07.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi added as Episode 7 of Les experts Season 12"
I don't want it to be called Les experts. How do I solve this?
I have artwork ~/Library/Application Support/VideoDrive/Artwork/CSI.png, why is it fetching the image from IMDB? I don't want that. Instead of using my image it downloads the one from IMDB and saves it as Artwork_1.png
Here is the content of my preset CSI.plist which is stored in ~/Library/Application Support/VideoDrive/Presets

bump
I have exactly the same issue. I am in Germany but all my language preferences (including preferred language in VD) are set to English. Yet, all the metadata is saved in German - very annoying! Is there a solution for this?
This is also an issue in the latest beta version 2.7 beta 3. I am running OSX 10.8.2 on a mac mini 2.3 Ghz i7 with 16 GB RAM.
There is no error message at the end of the import. The error occurs as soon as the metadata is downloaded.
I use import method 6 with Handbrake CLI, mostly converting MKVs to M4Vs.
Metadata options are:
1. Add missing metadata
2. Preferred Language: English
3. Map online genres to a main iTunes genre
4. include average user rating
5. clean up files and folder names
6. mark as unwatched and checked
