Subtitle issue with the new ipad
I've purchased the copy of VideoDrive but I'm not able export the video to my ipad with subtitles.
My subtitles have the same filename as the video with .srt extension.
Please help me.

Re: Subtitle issue with the new ipad
Hi, make sure you are using import method 5 and select HandBrake as the conversion tool on the Import tab of VideoDrive Preferences. That should do it.
Make sure to manually enable the subtitles on the iPad by clicking the appropriate button while playing the movie (next to rewind, pause, fast forward, …)
Additionally, you can add "--srt-lang eng" in the HandBrake parameters field to indicate the language of the subtitles (otherwise it will be displayed as "undetermined" in on the iPad). In this example, the subtitles are in English, you can find the full list of languages here: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php

Thanks for answering my query!!
Can you help to explain this sentence with steps-by-step instructions:

Thank you so much!

Re: Subtitle issue with the new ipad
ok, here we go:
1) Adding subtitles
You can only add subtitles at the moment you import the videos in iTunes (not afterwards). To do this, make sure the SRT file has the same name as your video file. Import the videos with import methods 2 until 9 (method 1 does not support subtitles).
2) Enabling / disabling subtitles
If you used import methods 2 until 4, you can toggle subtitles in VideoDrive (go to the Subtitle menu on the main screen).
If you used import methods 5 until 8, you can toggle subtitles in iTunes and iOS devices (go to the little subtitles icon in the overlay menu in the player).
If you used import method 9, you can toggle subtitles in Perian (go to the System Preferences Perian panel).
3) Changing the language of subtitles (optional!)
If you import videos with import methods 5 until 8 and use HandBrake, you can optionally specify which language your subtitles are in. To do this, go to VideoDrive Preferences (import tab) and add “—srt-lang eng” to the HandBrake parameter box. Replace eng with the appropriate language code: fra, eng, spa et cetera as specified here: http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php. VideoDrive will remember what you put in the HandBrake parameter box so you should only do this once.
