Processing metadata for shows with dates rather than episode numbers Empty Processing metadata for shows with dates rather than episode numbers

Hi,
I've noticed that VideoDrive doesn't seem to know how to process shows with a date rather than an episode number

Such as:

The Colbert Report 08 06 2008 DSR XviD-MOMENTUM [VTV]

I tried running them through a automator script to rename them with a regular expression.
(.*)\ ([0-9]{2})\ ([0-9]{2})\ 20([0-9]{2}).*
$1 s20$4 e$02$03

Which yields The Colbert Report s2008 e0806
to try and fool it. no dice.

Thanks.

You are correct, VideoDrive only understands S01E04, 01-04 or 01x04 to indicate season 1, episode 4.

To avoid renaming files you can also put all your videos in a subfolder named Season 1. Then, VideoDrive will identify the videos as TV Shows (it uses the name of the folder one level up), and will order the episodes based on their alphabetical order.

Alternatively you can also use the manual metadata option, which has more powerful numbering options.
